Training
The Pawsitively Love Training Team has over 50 years specializing in socialization, behavior modification and obedience for companion animals. Why does your dog need training? Communication is essential in any relationship. Training offers more than the ability to have your dog sit on command or correct bad behaviors; it establishes a bond between you and your dog, develops the respect that is needed for a healthy relationship, and increases your dog’s confidence and understanding of what is expected of him.
We offer various training programs depending on the needs of you and your dog. Our extensive experience in evaluating the nature of your pet allows us to apply the proper training methods in order to achieve success, whether your dog exhibits signs of aggression or insecurity or simply needs to understand what is expected of him. We know your relationship with your dog is important to you. It’s our goal to see that you have a long and happy life together.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available throughout Manhattan. The initial 2 hour consultation includes a detailed dog training plan emailed to you within one week and follow up via email. Follow up sessions are one-hour in length.
One-Month Intensive
The one month intensive is a great way to get your new puppy off to a fantastic start, nip unwanted adolescent behavior in the bud, or retrain adult dogs who have well rehearsed bad habits. We will work with your dog in and near your home 4 days/week for one month and work with you and your dog 1 day/week- usually Friday to catch you up on your dogs new skills. You will receive daily training notes and weekly video updates via email. We may ask that your dog walker, family members, and anyone who interacts with your dog on a regular basis attend some of the sessions if we feel it is needed to maintain
consistency. Many of our intensive clients choose to maintain their dogs skills with weekly or monthly follow up sessions
and daily walk and trains with one of our recommended walkers.
