Elizabeth Wood

Elizabeth Wood started Pawsitively Love shortly after moving to NYC in 2005 -- following her graduation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (with a concentration in Entrepreneurship).

As the owner and managing partner of Pawsitively Love, LLC, Elizabeth's highest priority has always been to provide individual and incomparable quality pet care to each and every client. Clients in her professional family do not just receive regular care -- she and her team are focused on, and prioritize, Canine Enrichment.

At its inception, Pawsitively Love primarily provided daily walks and boarding; though after 3 years of apprenticing with a professional trainer, it evolved into much more. Integrating consistent basic dog training and follow-through to all walking and boarding clients as part of the everyday routine, and learning how to properly modify behaviors through positive reinforcement and structure is just the beginning of what differentiates Pawsitively Love from other pet service companies.

Elizabeth instills a sense of responsibility in each of her staff members to go above and beyond the average expectations of pet care givers. Every one of her team of employees truly loves dogs and trains directly with her; to learn the basics and importance of dog training and consistency, which are practiced with each pet in their care and makes the company so effective. There is no cookie-cutter program. Each pet has individual needs and each pet receives just what they need; based on breed, age, health, training goals and personality.

When she is not in the office or a training session, Elizabeth likes to spend time with her own dogs; going on hikes, camping, shopping and photography. Yes, her dogs accompany her for all of these activities! What is life without true dog (pet) companionship? This is not merely a business for Elizabeth - dogs enrich her life!
